Everyday I read articles about heart disease being the #1 killer in the US, increases in cancer, increases in diabetes, increases in obesity, increases in weight problems, increases in stress, increases in anxiety, increases in sleeplessness....yet the food industry does not change. The FDA continues to let them put dyes, toxic chemicals, high fructose corn syrup, aspartame, hormones, preservatives, antibiotics, pesticides, and other toxins in most of the food purchased at the supermarkets all across America. The FDA, the food and drug administration, seems bent on letting this nutritional nightmare continue with what seems to be no regulation, oversight, or administration.
The fact is, we as consumers have to take matters into our own hands because it has become quite obvious that the food manufacturers and the FDA are not taking the steps to improve your health! If they did, we would begin seeing improvements in the health of the children. What we see instead is a decline in health: increases in anxiety, stress, hyperactivity, diabetes, obesity, and weight problems.
Support organic farming; buy your produce locally at farmers markets; significantly reduce drinking sodas, fast food, processed food, red meat, dairy, and sugary food. Read labels! If you cannot pronounce the ingredient don't buy it! If you do eat beef and poultry buy free range with no antibiotics or hormones and veggie fed. If you drink milk make sure it is hormone and antibiotic free.
Your health and your family's health is in your hands. Don't give that responsibility to anyone else, especially the food industry and the FDA. Empower yourself by taking the steps to improve your health!
